Compo Mill Cove Renovation
Located on a small peninsula off the beaches of Westport. This 1250 square foot structure is the weekend and summer getaway from Peter Wormser and his family. Originally built in 1910, the summer beach cottage needed a lot of work when purchased. Wall-to-wall carpet was replaced by hardwood floors, sheetrock was replaced by wainscoting and whitewashed wood, and the wooden ceiling joists were left exposed in the master bedroom for a cathedral-like effect. The shingle-clad, hip roofed cottage contributes positively to the small island's beach atmosphere. An open porch overlooking Long Island Sound continually provides spectacular views of the surrounding waters.
